The 2023 Range Rover Sport release date is projected for May of 2022, and we already have plenty of details on this year’s comprehensive Range Rover Sport redesign. Spy shots have revealed that the all-new Range Rover Sport will follow in the footsteps of the flagship Range Rover, which means that its body looks a little less angular and a little bit more organically formed. Slimmer headlights, a smaller grille, and a simple, sophisticated tail-light setup are all among the changes that journalists and enthusiasts have identified already.

What Else Should You Expect from the 2023 Range Rover Sport Redesign?

• Will the new Range Rover Sport be an EV? Don’t get your hopes up—full electrification for this model is probably still several years away. However, since the all-new Range Rover offers a plug-in hybrid powertrain, we wouldn’t be at all surprised if the 2023 Range Rover Sport offered this option as well!
• At the very least, we can say that the Range Rover Sport redesign will support eventual electrification. It’s built on the brand’s new MLA (Modular Longitudinal Architecture) platform, which is fully compatible with an EV powertrain.
• Although it’s unlikely that we’re looking at a standard feature, spy shots of the Range Rover Sport redesign show what is likely to be an advanced LiDAR system mounted to the roof. This suggests that the Range Rover Sport will begin to offer more advanced safety features and autonomous driving capabilities—if not this year then soon thereafter.
• Journalists speculate that the 2023 Range Rover Sport will start at close to $71,000 at the time of its release in May. This is very similar to the current price, but keep in mind that official pricing details have not yet been released.

What is the 2023 Range Rover Sport Release Date?

Journalists expect the 2023 Range Rover Sport release to arrive in May of 2022, but a slightly longer timeline is not out of the question. When the company that owns Jaguar gave their Q3 financial report in late 2021, they stated that the Range Rover Sport would arrive within the next six to nine months. This means that the Range Rover Sport redesign could arrive in May—but Eatontown and Red Bank drivers may have to wait until later in the summer.
