Service Loaner Policy
Land Rover Monmouth is devoted to offering our clients the utmost level of service. In line with this commitment, we provide the following transportation alternatives when clients’ vehicles are in our store for service:
Shuttle Service: Our service clients can utilize our shuttle for transportation to the nearest local Metro Station within 2 Miles of the dealership. The shuttle is operational during our standard business hours from Monday to Saturday.
Alternate Transportation: Clients having their Service serviced under the New Vehicle and CPO Limited Warranty are entitled to alternate transportation during their service visit. Please note that service vehicles older than ten model years are ineligible for Service Loaners, and we do not provide alternate transportation for vehicles involved in accidents requiring body shop work. For eligible clients, we offer a variety of alternative transportation services:
Service Loaner Vehicles: We maintain a fleet of loaner vehicles for our eligible clients’ convenience. Service Loaners are allocated based on arrival order and service write-up, on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to provide a Service Loaner Car during a service visit. However, there may be instances when none are available. In these cases, eligible clients can either wait for the next available Service Loaner or choose another alternative transportation solution.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car: As another alternative, we are pleased to offer a rental vehicle service through Enterprise Rent-A-Car. This complimentary service is available to eligible clients for a maximum of 24 hours. Enterprise Rent-A-Car: We are pleased to offer a complimentary rental vehicle service through Enterprise Rent-A-Car for a maximum of 24 hours to eligible clients. If you require the vehicle for a longer period, it can be arranged at a preferred rate payable by the client.
Maintenance Repairs Less than 2 Hours: For maintenance or service work that is estimated to take less than two hours, we kindly ask our clients to wait in our customer waiting area located in the main showroom. We offer free beverages, computers, and Wi-Fi connectivity at no charge for our service clients.
General Rules and Non-Negotiable Charges pertaining to Service Loaners provided by Land Rover Monmouth:
- Due to insurance policies, drivers of Service Loaners must be at least 21 years old.
- Only the individuals named on the agreement are permitted to operate the Service Loaner vehicle. Violation of this policy will result in a usage penalty of $250 per day, and future loaner vehicle privileges will be revoked.
- Eligible clients must present a valid U.S. or State Department driver’s license, a current insurance card for the vehicle being serviced, and a valid credit card in their name to receive a loaner.
- Land Rover Monmouth does NOT provide primary auto liability, collision, and comprehensive insurance. If the client’s insurance information does not provide adequate coverage, the client agrees to pay for all injury, damage, or loss caused.
Non-Negotiable Charges for Service Loaners:
This supplementary disclosure outlines certain non-negotiable charges and restrictions related to your use of the Temporary Substitute Vehicle (TSV) provided by Land Rover Monmouth:
Refueling: The TSV should be returned with the same fuel level as when it was provided. The refueling cost is $5.99 per gallon, subject to change based on the daily market price.
TSV Return: Clients will be notified when their vehicle is ready. The TSV must be returned by 9:00 a.m. the following morning. Failure to do so will result in a charge of $75, with additional charges of $75/day incurred until the TSV is returned.
Damage: The TSV will be inspected upon its return to ensure there is no new damage. Clients must ensure the TSV is checked in and inspected BEFORE leaving the dealership. Any new damage found will be the client’s responsibility.
Traffic Violations: Clients are expected to adhere to all local and state laws while the TSV is in their possession. Any unpaid tolls, parking or speeding tickets will be the client’s responsibility, and an administrative fee of $35 will be added to the total amount of the fine and/or late fees.
No Smoking: Land Rover Monmouth maintains a strict no smoking policy for all TSVs. If the TSV is returned with evidence of smoking, a cleaning fee of up to $250 will be charged.
No Pets: Land Rover Monmouth maintains a strict no-pets policy for all TSVs. If the TSV is returned with evidence of pets, a cleaning fee of up to $250 will be charged.
Mileage Allowance: The TSV is intended for normal use only, with a maximum daily allowance of 75 miles. Failure to adhere to this limit will result in a mileage charge of $1.00/mile beyond an average of 75 miles/day.
Insurance: If the insurance information provided by the client is inaccurate or the coverage on their policy does not provide primary auto liability, collision, and comprehensive coverage, the client agrees to pay for all injury, damage, or loss caused to the TSV and any third parties involved.
Diminished Value: Clients agree to pay Land Rover Monmouth the diminished value of the TSV, if it is involved in an accident and not covered by their insurance company.
Personal Use Only: The loaner vehicle is for personal use only while the client’s vehicle is being serviced. Any commercial use, such as taxi, Uber, Lyft or other transportation services, is strictly prohibited. Violation of this policy will result in a usage penalty of $250 per day, and future loaner vehicle privileges will be revoked.
Land Rover Monmouth offers service loaners for the convenience of our clients, despite the substantial cost involved.
