MAHWAH, NEW JERSEY, March 9, 2010- Land Rover North America has been awarded, by members of the New England Motor Press Association (NEMPA), a Winter Vehicle Award in the Best in Class-Premium Sport Utility Vehicle/Crossover segment for the 2010 Range Rover.
NEMPA members, comprised of automotive writers and talk show hosts throughout all six New England states, assembled at the annual Winter Vehicle Voting Day where they spent the day driving all-wheel-drive vehicles. Journalists evaluated vehicles on how they fit the needs of drivers during the long New England winters.
"New England's automotive media test new vehicles in a daunting combination of fast driving roads, challenging weather conditions and off-road trails," said Stuart Schorr, Vice President, Communications and Public Affairs, Jaguar Land Rover North America. "To win a Best-in-Class award from this group of top automotive journalists confirms the Range Rover's position as the most capable luxury vehicle in the world."
