Rarest Range Rover Ever Manufactured Sells

One-of-a-kind, custom 2011 Range Rover Autobiography

comes off display at Land Rover Monmouth

as an undisclosed buyer accepts delivery.

By JOSEPH V. KUCA

OCEAN, NEW JERSEY, November 15, 2010 - "Sold!" That was the answer being given by Denise Szarek, Land Rover Monmouth's Centre receptionist, to callers inquiring about the availability of the world's most expensive and rarest Range Rover ever produced.

One simple word uttered on the other end of a telephone line summing up an automotive odyssey spanning two continents and nearly two years planning on the part of Land Rover Monmouth's sales and management team as well as Land Rover's Solihull manufacturing team.

"We're pleased with the sale naturally," said LRM's General Sales Manager Cliff Neubart, whose sentiment was mimicked by nearly everyone at Land Rover Monmouth.  The undisclosed buyer, said to be a collector of unique, one-of-a-kind, automotive creations took delivery of the vehicle over the weekend after adding some additional personal touches.

When asked to comment on the buyer and their additional, last-minute, modifications, Jerry Nelson, Managing Partner of the West Long Branch, NJ-based Schneider+Nelson family of fine auto dealerships, of which Land Rover Monmouth is first among equals, he said merely that, "Any buyer of this unique type of vehicle is bound to want to put his or her personal imprint upon it before taking final delivery.  So the modifications were done according to the client's wishes by our dedicated team of parts and service staffers."

Richard F. Williams, Centre Manager at Land Rover Monmouth, who was reached by telephone in Los Angeles where he is among a core contingent of Land Rover executives attending this week's 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show where the company will be effecting the US debut of the eagerly anticipated 2012 Range Rover Evoque coupe along with its 5-door incarnation said, "We are delighted that the vehicle sold so quickly,  Like a work of art, such one-of-a-kind vehicles are a thing of beauty, a joy to behold.  We were lucky to have had it on the floor for 30-days.  Guests at our 2011 model year gala launch party this past week benefiting the FoodBank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties enjoyed seeing it.  So, everyone is happy."

When asked about the buyer's identity Williams declined to comment saying simply, "It is a matter of policy not to disclose such information---our clients are by nature, of course, quite private individuals and we go to great lengths to see to it that their information is closely held."

2011 Range Rover Autobiography

Goes on display at Land Rover Monmouth

for potential buyers to view and make offers on,

just in time for holiday gifting.

Rarest Range Rover Ever Manufactured for Sale

OCEAN, NEW JERSEY, October 14, 2010 - "It's generated quite a buzz here already," a grinning Rich Williams, Centre Manager for Land Rover Monmouth, admitted of their Centre's newest and rarest vehicle offering, an incredibly-colored,  irridescent gold, custom-built 2011 Range Rover Autobiography Supercharged.

"Arrival time couldn't have been better for us, this is a vehicle that someone who has a passion for the finest in automotive design and engineering technology would desire and really yearn to own.  And hey, let's face it, the holidays are coming," said Williams.

"We're looking at the arrival of this unique rarity of Range Rover design, the quintessential example, and truly the epitome, of the automotive art in off-road capable luxury SUVs and 4 x 4 vehicles, to really spark the kind of buyer interest quite often only seen generated at the holidays by the now legendary Neiman-Marcus Christmas Catalog, typically chock-full of unique and rare, one-of-a-kind offerings," concluded Williams.

Joseph V. Kuca, Public Affairs Director for Land Rover Monmouth, a member of the Schneider+Nelson family of fine dealerships, when queried as to whether or not the vehicle's brash coloration, fully-loaded options array, and delivery time, suspiciously coinciding with the holiday selling season, were all merely some type of a public relations stunt,  "Absolutety not," Kuca replied and repeated emphatically, "Absolutely not."

"This one-of-a-kind, custom-build has been on the boards since the spring.  I have the paperwork right here.  See, look, April 19th, 2010 was when we placed the order with the factory, our main manufacturing site in Solihull, West Midlands, in the UK.  The build date, what I like to think of as a vehicle's birthday, was June 25th, 2010.  So, this will be baby's first Christmas.  We're pretty certain we'll be able to find her a good home for the holidays," opined Kuca.

"That it's come off the line in England and that it has reached us here in America and cleared port customs in time for the holidays---oh, and by the way, in time for our upcoming, by invitation onlyGala 2011 Model Year Launch Party, an 'Evening of Elegance' in support of the FoodBank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties scheduled for November 11th, 2010 from 6pm to 9pm here at our Centre---well, that's actually pure coincidence.  A happy coincidence from where I'm standing to be sure, but a coincidence nonetheless."

"Quite frankly, if they were in front of me right now, I'd give those folks at Land Rover's Product Engineering Centre and headquarters in Gaydon, a great big hug.  Their timing could not have been better.  The folks in Great Britain have made my job decidely easier simply because of the timing of this unique rarity's delivery," said a smiling Kuca.

"We've already gotten some inquiries as to gift-wrapping and delivery options by a few potential buyers," commented Cliff Neubart, General Sales Manager at LRM, who was found on the Centre's main floor overseeing the installation and display of this incredible one-of-a-kind SUV.

"As we're on the cusp of the big traditional holiday retailing season, we're hoping that more than one special buyer expresses a serious interest.  The sticker is $134,750---excluding taxes, title, destination and special delivery charges, of course.  Though, oftentimes, with such unique, rare, one-of-a-kind vehicles, museum-quality pieces really, such incredible one-off custom builds often command premiums far above and beyond sticker when two or more determined buyers set their sights on owning such a unique piece of automotive history," mused Neubart.

"We'd be thrilled to get above sticker, but we here at Land Rover Monmouth strictly adhere to, and are all ardent advocates of, what we call 'The Land Rover Way.  It's an ethical business philosophy which we all live by at LRM.  Anything above and beyond sticker, caused by a bidding war for final ownership of this vehicle, no doubt we'd explore donating to a worthy charity," a thoughtful Neubart said.

Jerry Nelson, Managering Partner of the West Long Branch, NJ-based Schneider+Nelson family of fine auto dealerships, of which Land Rover Monmouth is first among equals, was heard to describe this one-of-a-kind luxury SUV as, "A bespoke vehicle, as refined and elegant as it is bold and brash."

"It's sporting every conceivable option and upgrade available from Range Rover.  The owner of this beauty will want for nothing when it comes to comfort, elegance or capability. What truly sets it apart from all others and makes it the only one of its kind in the world is its unique exterior paint job. This one-of-a-kind, custom-built 2011 Range Rover Autobiography is a true masterpiece of automotive art.  And, as the only 2011 Range Rover Autobiography Supercharged delivered from the factory in Spectral Amber Chromaflair paint, with its jewel-like irridescent gold shimmer and unequalled visual effect, the lucky owner who acquires this vehicle will be sure to stand out anyplace in the world when sitting behind the wheel of this rare gem. Why, the custom paint job alone cost $14,500," said Nelson.

"But price is of no import where a buyer considering the purchase this type of museum-quality vehicle is concerned. The pleasure of owning the only one ever produced, that is what is truly important and essentially priceless to such a connoisseur.  Let's face it, this unique, custom order, specially built 2011 Range Rover Autobiography limited-edition is more than a mere vehicle, it's a bold and emphatic statement which, as one automotive reviewer was noted as saying, 'screams status',” concluded Nelson.
