EVENTING BASICS
Eventing is a three-day equestrian competition. It celebrates and measures every aspect of horsemanship. It is similar to a triathlon for a horse and rider consisting of three distinct tests: Dressage, Cross-Country and Jumping. Dressage focuses on the harmony between the horse and rider. Cross-Country requires contact with nature, physical stamina and extensive experience. Jumping tests the precision, agility and jumping technique of the horse and rider.
Eventing is one of the three disciplines in competition at the Olympic Games and is one of the few Olympic sports where men and women compete against each other as individuals and team members.
Land Rover's vehicle capability and characteristics align well with the sport of Eventing as it requires a combination of skill, courage, stamina and finesse to compete and excel within this exclusive community. We're proud to be the official vehicle of the 2010 U.S. Eventing Team and to support those athletes who will compete throughout this upcoming United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) AA-rated hunter and 3-Star rated jumper equestrian competition happening next week at the East Freehold Showgrounds in Freehold, NJ.
So, don't miss this week's upcoming 115th Monmouth County Horse Show.
