DETROIT, Michigan, January 13, 2010 –Land Rover North America is proud to announce today that the 2009 Range Rover has been awarded the Polk Automotive Loyalty Award by R. L. Polk & Co. in the Luxury Sport Utility Category for the second year in a row. The Polk Automotive Loyalty Award is the only fact-based award in the industry based on consumer loyalty.
"We are very pleased that our customers continue to embrace the unique experience that comes with owning a Range Rover," said Gary Temple, President, Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC. "Luxury sport utility is an extremely competitive segment and winning this award for the second consecutive year shows how much Land Rover customers appreciate this extraordinary vehicle."
Polk's Loyalty analysis uses comprehensive information obtained from actual state registrations and lease transactions to analyze millions of new vehicle registration transactions for the 2009 model year. Over 4.5 million actual records were analyzed to determine the winners. The award recognizes a manufacturer's superior performance in customer retention -- a key component in retaining market share. Customers with an extremely positive experience returned to buy another vehicle of the same model, make, or manufacturer.
Range Rover has been honored with the Luxury SUV award in 2008 in addition to the Prestige SUV award in 2006, 2005 and 2004. |
