LRM Donates Vehicle to NPS at Sandy Hook

For the fifth year in a row the folks at Land Rover Monmouth, a member of the Schneider-Nelson family of fine dealerships, have donated the use of a brand new Land Rover to officials at the National Park Service stationed at Sandy Hook.
The vehicle will be used by park personnel in patrolling this unique and highly sensitive coastal eco-system as well as in assisting the many beachgoers who visit Sandy Hook in the height of the busy summer season.

Three views of the 2010 Land Rover LR4 that Land Rover Monmouth donated for use by the Sandy Hook Unit of the NPS.
A part of the Gateway National Recreation Area, Sandy Hook has the largest and oldest intact holly forest extent on the eastern seaboard as well as the oldest lighthouse in the USA.
A critical stopover during seasonal migrations, Sandy Hook is known as a birder's paradise too. In fact, the NJ Audubon Society has a dedicated bird observatory on Sandy Hook. Sandy Hook is also the home base of the American Littoral Society.
In addition to its unique flora and fauna, a number of historically significant structures dating from the early days when Sandy Hook was a military outpost can also be explored---officers quarters, gun emplacements, old Nike missile sites and the like can be viewed by visitors interested in military history.
When asked to comment on the vehicle donation, Rich Williams, Centre Manager of Land Rover Monmouth, summed it up, "We're a dealership serving Monmouth and Ocean counties. Our clients and staff all live literally minutes from the beach. It seems to us that it's a worthy effort to assist the National Park Service in patrolling and securing this natural wonder and its historic treasures for the public. So, for the fifth summer, we're happy to be able to assist the Rangers and staff at Sandy Hook by our donation of a vehicle for use during their extremely busy summer season."
