MANCHESTER, VT, May 8, 2011 - Many Land Rover Monmouth customers will already be quite familiar with Tom Petrovich's broad smile and warm, willing ways.  As a senior technician with Land Rover Monmouth for over five years now, Tom has become something of a fixture at LRM.  Like so many staffers, he's become recognized as epitomizing the Land Rover Way as well as embodying that unique dedication to client satisfaction for which Schneider+Nelson Land Rover Monmouth, Monmouth and Ocean counties only dedicated Land Rover Centre, has become so well recognized. 

Over the past two weeks, in his off-hours, Tom has been working really hard to acquire some new, very sought after credentials, that of Land Rover Driving Instructor.

After two weeks of arduous off-road field and classroom training, Tom achieved his goal.  He was awarded the coveted Level One Land Rover Driving Instructor Certification.  "Tom is great.  He will make a great instructor," said Josh Williams, Director of the Land Rover Experience Driving School in Manchester, VT.

To get an idea of the comprehensive and rigorous nature of the training candidates are required to undergo before they ever take a client off-road, one need only scan some of the training materials.  Land Rover Driving Instructors are required to know not only the safe and appropriate off-roading rules, but they must be well-versed in all the various features which exist on all current Land Rover and Range Rover lines.  And, lest we forget, they are expected to be ambassadors for the brand as well.

A t-shirt sighted during instructor training this past week said it all.  Mimicking the famous Land Rover slogan 'the best 4x4 by far" the t-shirt read: "the best 4x4 instructors by far."

Land Rover driving instructor training, like everything undertaken by Land Rover as a rule, is considered the most rigorous and demanding in the industry.  When it comes to off-road driving instructor training, Land Rover demands absolute knowledge and professionalism.

Instructors are the first line of communications where the public at large, often for the first time, may be experiencing the Land Rover brand hands-on.  So, the training is rigorous and comprehensive.  The numbers say it all.  Of ten trainees who were accepted for training in this class some two-weeks ago, only eight had the stuff necessary to earn the coveted Land Rover Driving Instructor certification. 

The management and staff of Land Rover Monmouth would like to congratulate Tom on yet another job well done.  Oh, and not to worry, Tom isn't abandoning his tool box, service bay or the many happy clients at Land Rover Monmouth for the off-road lifestyle 24/7.  No, he'll only be introducing would-be off-roaders to the fun of Land Rover off-roading on weekends up at the Land Rover Experience Driving School in Manchester, VT.

Larry Campbell, Land Rover Monmouth Service Manager, a veteran of LRM for over twelve plus years himself and Tom's boss, captured the good news best in a single word, "Awesome."  Indeed, that about says it all for Tom, as well as the greater Land Rover Monmouth team and the good folks too up at the Land Rover Experience Driving School.
