Annual Holiday Food Drive to Help the FoodBank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties

Last year during the holiday season Land Rover Monmouth collected nearly a quarter of a ton of food for the FoodBank.

This week saw an addition to the showroom floor at Land Rover Monmouth, something that appears around this same time each year and is then whisked quietly away not long after it appears. No, we're not talking about the new model year selection of Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles that are on display. Though the 2012's have arrived and they are quite remarkable. As we like to say, these vehicles are "built for the extraordinary." But no, we're talking about a decades' old tradition of giving back to the communities that LRM serves. The addition we speak of is that of a simple collection box which seasonally heralds the launch of the Land Rover Monmouth Annual Holiday Food Drive.
Last year's food donations from LRM clients, patrons and staff neared the quarter-of-a-ton mark. This year LRM hopes to exceed that by far. All of the food collected on behalf of the FoodBank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties is delivered in time for the holidays when the need is most strongly felt.
This year, the folks at Land Rover Monmouth, a member of the Schneider+Nelson Auto Group, will be joined in their annual Holiday Food Drive efforts by their sister stores, Schneider+Nelson Audi and Schneider+Nelson Porsche. All three locations are now officially designated collection points for non-perishable food items for the FoodBank.
The Land Rover Monmouth Annual Holiday Food Drive continues through the month of December. So, we encourage you to drop by our Centre and leave a canned or non-perishable food item for the benefit of those in need served by the many wonderful people who staff and volunteer with the FoodBank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties.
LRM will also again be hosting a Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 3, 2011, from 11AM to 3PM featuring holiday music provided by Major Mark Furman and the Salvation Army Band. Another fine opportunity to drop-off something for the FoodBank and to see the new model year line-up too. Of course, our Sales Guides, consumate hosts that they are, will be on hand to offer you a cup of holiday cider! So, why not mark your calendar and come on by?
